Who will have an AM2+, Phenom 940, in his possession by tomorrow evening? This guy, that's who...Hopefully some DI results will follow, but they might be on my brothers machine since he has the tube and knows how to use it...I only know how to make them :D...Anyway, we will both have the 940 in our grubby little hands, and hopefully some results, by tomorrow evening. No results for a few days I'm afraid. Vista is giving my brother a hard time...I just don't have the time to fuck with it just yet. I have already flashed my board to the newest BIOS, so it should pop in and play...Hopefully over the next couple of days we can get something going.

I have my system up and running tonight. I couldn't get my RAID array working with Vista, and i finally gave up around 1:00 AM this morning and installed Vista on my 120 GB Hard drive. I will need to to modify the mounting bracket for the DICE tube, but that may be a little further down the road. I will probably see how far I can go on air first ( also I need to get used to this AMD hardware) . I will hopefully have some stuff to post soon

strange about the raid array.. i dident need any drivers for mine with vista, it just installs stright on without question

I didn't need drivers using Vista with my E8500/Biostar setup.

But this time for some reason, regardless of what I set it to in the BIOS, when it got to the screen to select which hard drive you want to put Vista on, there weren't any listed.

Ok, the new chip is installed. My brother scores over 13k on his Phenom II rig, so this score seems a little low to me...Maybe it is driver related as I am running an older driver...I dunno...But here is my Vantage score running the default test at stock speed:



And here is a stock run of Super Pi:



That is the fastest I have ever seen an AMD chip run (me personally). I am pretty pleased with the Super Pi score. I am thinking I can do under 20s on air, but we will see. Clocking this is going to be a new learning experience - and hopefully a lot of fun. More results to come in the near future. Rock On!

looks like your using physx drivers for that cpu score,which could be part of the reason for the score diffrence too

Meh, my brother says my cards just plain ol' suck compared to his new 275. He is trying to talk me into some new graphics hardware, and I think it might be working...Damn him!

I couldn't get 06 to run, but here are my stock 03 and 05 scores:

I dunno why 06 wouldn't run, but I will work on that and hopefully get a score up soon. My brother seems to think my twin 8800's are crap, so I may be looking into a getting a new graphics card, or two, or three...We'll see
